Lineage2 Adena : The Chaotic Chronicle is a computer medieval style MMORPG and it is the sequel to Lineage Adena. This very popular game has over one and a half million subscribers. Expansions to this game come out every six months. These expansions bring in new plot and content. Upon writing this, there have been five such updates.

When you play Lineage 2 Adena, you get to select one of five races to use as your character. These races are Dark Elf, Elf, Dwarf, Orc or Human. A player can have a maximum of seven characters on one server.

The back story of Lineage 2 Adena revolves around three kingdoms and their attempts to assert their claim to the western and eastern continents of Aden. Raoul (leader of the youngest kingdom) has proven his worth by finishing off a civil war. The kingdom of Elmore believes they are direct descendents from the powerful and ancient Elmoreden kingdom. They believe that this strengthens their claim. The kingdom of Gracia has have improved their skills by battling against their own lineage who is annexing the throne. All three kingdoms could self destruct while attempting to fight this war. This is the world you enter into.

Gameplay is centered on either solo or groups and players participate in either PvP or PvE play. To gain new skills in Lineage 2 Adena, experience points and gain various item, monsters can be fought and quests can be completed.
