Rappelz Rupees is a free MMORPG. It is based in a medieval world and can appeal to both hardcore and casual players alike. This world is controlled by three races. These are the Deva, the Asura and the Gaia. Each major installment for this game is called an "Epic". The current epic is "Epic VI: Solus Aurum".

Of the three races, the oldest is the Gaia. The other two races were created by the gods to assist them. The deva represented Light. The Asura represented darkness. There was peace until a Gaian named `The Witch` came along. She became very powerful and ambitious. This drove her to rally the people of the world to rebellion.

But some did not heed her call. The world was thrown into chaos Rappelz Rupees. All three races combined their effort and were able to defeat `The Witch`. `The Witch` was captured and then burnt alive. This was made possible only because of the unity between the races.

This peace has remained. But there are rumors of a second coming of `The Witch` and her terrible forces. This back story plays an important role in the game itself

There are many things you can do when playing Rappelz Rupees. You can complete an extensive list of quests by yourself or with a group. You can customize your character using a deep job system.

This job system allows you to build and develop unique character builds. In addition, you can tame various pets and use them in battle too. These pets have their own talents and job skills which you can level up. , and you will fight using a combat system that allows the usage of pets, tamed from various parts of the Rappelz Rupees world, to fight alongside and assist you.
