Tales of Pirates Gold is a 3D Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game developed by the Chinese company MOLI.
The game is centered around the adventures of Lance (a human which was raised by demons), Phyllis ( a girl who has a shortened lifespan), Ami (a young little girl which does not age) and Carsise (a half-demon). They live in a world that has multiple islands and continents. You can travel between these by ship or foot. You also kill monsters and overcome other obstacles during your quest. There is also a whide variety variety of weapons that is aviable to you.
All of the large cities have ports. The cimate and appearance of these ports differ based on location. For example, towns located near the Shaitan's deserts are different tehn those located near Icicle's frozen plains. These towns are where newer characters slowly build up their skills and fighting prowess before adventuring into the unknown Tales of Pirates Gold. Each fighting class does all of its class advancements in their corresponding city, e.g swordsmen change classes in Argent, hunters in Icicle, herbalists in Shaitan.

Players have a wide selection of characters they can use. There are a total of ten classes. Four of these classes are Primary Classes. You can select them when you reach level ten. These classes are: Swordsman (great for physical damage), Hunter (using bows), Explorer (deals powerful magical damage and has bonuses associated with sailing), and herbalist (weak offence but they can support other players).
The character you choice determines what classes you can choice in Tales of Pirates Gold. A "Lance" character choices between an Hunter, Explorer or Swordsman. A "Carsise" character can only choice to become a Swordsman. "Phyllis" characters can choice between Herbalist, Hunter or Explorer (or Crusader in newest version). "Ami" characters can be either a Herbalist or Explorer.
Upon reaching level forty, players have the option of choosing an advanced class which is determined by the character and basic class in Tales of Pirates Gold. These classes are Crusader (very agile fighter which deals melee damage), Champion (high defense, high HP, high melee damage), Sharpshooter (high ranged damage using fireguns), Voyager (magical damage), Cleric (healing and supportive abilities), and Seal Master (offense version of the Cleric).
When you create an account, players choose a character to start the game with. Every character starts at level one. You then level up through simple introductory quests which are designed to teach you about the game. When you reach level eight, you can create a party with one to four players and you share EXP from individual kills.
After you reach level fifteen, you can purchase a ship which you can sail on the water with. Since sixty percent of the accessible territory is water, you need a ship to reach certain parts of the game.
