The new fourth faction is made up of players from the other three factions who voluntary join the forth faction. You can only join it after your character reaches the status of Master level one. This is about level one hundred and thirteen.
There are consequences to joining this fourth faction. You must relinquish every single tie to your original faction and the territories they control. This includes terminating any guild membership and clearing out every one of the friends on your friend lists. The move to this fourth faction is permanent. There is no way to change it back and regain your original status. If you choice not to partake in any factions efforts, you will become a loner or rogue player.
The existence of the fourth faction is not the only new feature brought into this game. There is also an alliance system that has been created to allow people to share power. This alliance system allows for formal recognition between two parties in relation to both power sharing and offensive battle plans.
The alliance system is restricted to a maximum of two different factions in Twelve Sky 2 Silver. Once this alliance is established by the leaders of these factions, the alliance extends to every single member of these two allied factions. As a result, when you fight battles, allied players will not be red-flagged as enemies. As long as the alliance is still in effect, players can communicate with the members of the aliened faction as if it was their own.
The game also makes use of a variety of mobs. Each one of them is artistically rendered. When they are attacked, they display the usual color coded alerts in relation to the level of the mob and the level of the players. The generally accepted protocol (grey, red or pink) to show a mob below, within or above you.
